I think that many of our problems would go away if more people understood this. I've never understood the tendency to respond to something going wrong for you with anger and resentment towards people who do not have that problem. It's silly. Hate the negative aspects of your own state of affairs, not the people whose lists of problems do not include yours.

They should throw the book at this guy as a harsh harsh warning to anyone else who wants to take internet lunacy into the real world.

Sounds like this guy isn't the real deal, and didn't do any of the crimes, probably just turning himself in for the attention.

^He didn't turn himself in, he was caught with the letters while attempting to mail them.

I also suspect something more here. I mean, out of all the super successful franchises out there, why did this dude focus on Kuroko's Basketball specifically?

Probably because he and the mangaka went to the same university. So comparing himself to a somewhat famous alumnus of the same school rather than random successful person makes a kind of insane sense.

It was apart of a translation of a Q and A session with the guy on a forum or something, it was on ann almost a year ago.

IIRC, it's more he blamed the mangaka for tearing apart him and his basket ball team crush.

Not exactly a fair standard.

Still, a depressed salaryman who wasn't famous and therefore made threats he was too scared to act on. How...pathetic.

he's gonna pay for it. literally. Shueisha [and not only]'s gonna claim A LOT of compensation from this geezer. even if he doesn't spend enough time in the clink [which he surely won't, according to the not so efficient legislation here] he will surely think [at least] 10 times before he does something like this ever again Anime hyper
