yeah, this sucks, I, lost one close friend 13 years ago to an allergic reaction as well, it's as surprising adn ahrd hitting as it is losing them to a car accident. god to know that the internet comunity made his passing easier for his family.

Died at 33 years of age? That is still young. Rest in peace, Monty Oum.

It's crazy because JUST yesterday I looked up images of RWBY and saw a whole bunch of fanart on tumblr of fans wishing for luck or wellness. I didn't know what was up until now.
So sad and so young.

An allergic reaction to a medical procedure is quite literally being run over by the ambulance. Sad.

And 2015 continues to be full of people passing. This is getting to be rather ridiculous and just beyond depressing. Every week almost it's someone else. Condolences to his wife, family, friends, and coworkers. Far too young to pass on like this.

My god, what is it with 2015 lately? Is our planet in a death phase this year or something?
He was so young to leave this world behind, and yet...it's frightening how our lives can end just like that. My condolences as well.

Holy shit, that's beyond messed up.
I loved Dead Fantasy. He had so much talent, it sucks to see him gone.

This... this is just depressing. I've followed his work since Haloid and always been rooting for him to outdo himself. Only a week or so ago I watched a marathon of season 2 of RWBY at MagFest with fellow fans. No words I can put down will ease others suffering enough, but I will always remember the monumental legacy he left at such a young age. I'm just so torn up as well about it...

I'm extremely shocked at hearing this news on other social media and was wondering when ANN was going to get it. I don't know much about Monty other than his 'Haloid' project when it was shown on YT. I was amazed at what this person had accomplished with 3D animation. Then he would go on to do another show RWBY. A show where you either love it or hate it. I remember at last year's NYCC how I accidently attended a panel where they were doing a screening for one of the episodes. The room was filled with lots of people and lots of love for the show. I decided y'know maybe I'll add one his series to the collection as a person who has accomplished much in a short period of time with 3D animation. And now this...it is truly sad. Another life gone at a young age. We'll never get the chance to know what his further accomplishments will go. I give my condolences to the family. R.I.P Monty, in the short time you were here you made a lot of people happy.

That's just awful. Never cared much for RWBY, but I've liked RvB for a long time. Sucks that he'll be gone...

Ohh, man...Very tragic indeed. At 33, his death is quite premature.
Rest in peace, Monty Oum. I had a great time watch RWBY.
