Personally I miss the fun Kitty Media titles that have been sitting in RightStuf's clearance bin for ages. Literary gems like "Do You Know the MILFing Man?" or "The Hills Have Size" or "Invasion of the Booby Snatchers." Whoever came up with those deserved a big raise. |

Personally, I wouldn't trust any porn purveyor who had "soft" in their name...

The same could be said to anyone who has a collection of anime, anime figures, posters, etc. The easy solution here is to only date women into anime as well. -Stuart Smith |

The all time classic, The Duchess of Busty Mounds Which I think has a shelf life review ages ago. Way back when, blind buying any anime was risky. But blind buying Hentai during the weekly Right Stuf sales was on a whole different level..... ugh. |

If so, that's pretty impressive. Between that and Dorei Maid Princess, those are pretty "intense" titles. Not targeting the vanilla crowd, I suppose. |

A few years back, ANNCast had on Chris Beveridge of The Fandom Post, a site that includes hentai in its reviews. So I sent in a question about why we were seeing re-releases of hentai from the 90s and early 2000s and less new stuff, and his response was that the new stuff had gotten so nasty (perhaps even legally problematic in some parts of the US), that licensors here couldn't risk touching a lot of it. So, pretty surprising to see Section 23 hop back into this market. |

Fantastic news. Hoping they can pick up some of the more hardcore, degrading stuff that has been coming out (Rinkan Biyaku Chuudoku please!) that we are severely lacking in as most of the previous offering from US licensors were too vanilla for my liking bar the odd exception.
The titles they've announced, though not given their Japanese names, sound promising at least.
I am praying Slave Princess is Dorei Maid Princess. I'll take anything Lilith I can get over here but since the VNs didn't work for whatever reason for Mangagamer I can't see them bringing over one of their anime titles. Hoping I'm wrong though and can buy it again and uncensored this time. |

I've never really thought of owning hentai anime (I do own some hentai mangas), but perhaps I'll give it a go someda-...

So your solution to the lack of girls into anime would be to either hide or give up a hobby that you really enjoy? Neither sounds like a great way to handle a long term relationship. Or if you're bringing a girl back for the night, just keep it out of sight. Not really going to matter if they see your giant weeb collection in the morning. To be fair, I don't own any hentai nor am I usually quick to volunteer that I like anime. However, I do own bd/dvd/ln with girls on the cover that someone who isn't an anime fan could easily think are porn, and I don't really see a point in trying to hide liking anime from anyone with longer term potential. I don't really agree with Stuart about only dating girls into anime. They don't have to be into it, but it can't be a deal breaker for them either because I'm not just dropping or hiding it from them. |

I can understand they're not in the business of losing money. But what if the sales are good enough to warrant an English dub? Face it, as far as I know, Japan has a bit of honor code where they refuse to give out who voiced who in the original hentai out of fear of embarrassment. As for the English dubs... I expect a couple of laughs. And what I meant by backbone is that SoftCel had a history of never dubbing their hentai, leaving anyone that does watch it for the plot confused and having to stop to read out the subtitles during the action which is a total boner killer. As for their previous output, they only dubbed 1 and a half hentai -- I say 1 and a half because they dubbed only one episode of F3 and all two episodes of Rei Rei, which I actually like. I know it's not 2002 anymore, but I do recall certain hentai by Kitty Media that have had dubs in the NY/NJ area, so there are some potential viewers out there; we just don't know who would have enough time to put their dignity in the back burner. |

This, at least from little I have seen nowadays almost all new stuff is "guy(s) rape girl(s)" (do not confuse with angry sex), forget about any interesting story, setting, characters or even animation. But who knows, maybe later on there will be a hentairoll and hentai will evolve. |

I've seen a lot of not-nasty/rapey hentai lately. A lot of it still panders to other fetishes(eg, imouto), but the sex is still consensual. Then there's the odd series where it starts as rape but later installments shift that gear.
