He probably didn't. If I were to surmise a guess, he's doing this on his computer and burning the dub on to DVDs to share within his community. Full episodes aren't up on his Facebook page, but the second video is a recording of it playing on a television.

I would have a strong curiosity in what was the most difficult lines or conceptual ideas spoken that did not translate well. I know often there are many jokes or cultural aspects lost in translation from Japanese to English, but how does Anishinaabemowin and Cree languages handle more direct lines like "Moon Prism Power Make-up!"? Are words jostled? Words added? Am I even thinking right and rather were there conversations that were actually more difficult to translate?
Overall very fascinating. It's surprisingly not that bad whatsoever considering I remember some of the early days of on-line "fan dubs" that were quite cringe worthy. |
