Well, arguably running a business doing it legally, morally, and ethically is harder than running a business by way of being sleazy.

Well, I hope another company picks up these licenses, especially Chivalry.

Well, ethically, being incommunicado is not the way to do it

Good news I guess(?) At least there's finally a closure to this awful publisher.
Rakudai has been stuck in a limbo where the unofficial English Fan TL stopped working on the series because it got picked up by Official Translation, but unfortunately Sol Press is very bad that there's barely any release from them, so the series just sitting there in the dust while fan-group "cannot" do anything about it.
Even if there won't be any official or fan translation going to pick up the series in the near future (after all, this is a old series), at the very least, the series and others under Sol Press belt are "free to translate" for the time being now that this has come to light.

Good news indeed!
I was so unhappy when it was announced that Sol Press got the Rakudai licence 3 years ago. Crappy company, slow releases and very questionable translation view-points. Glad to see this LN killer out of business.

Well, I hope "Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement" gets picked up. I have been getting the light novel and manga volumes. It might have a chance since it is created by FUNA.

month late reply but if there's a chance of it being re-licensed i'd peg JNC as the most likely one considering they've got FUNA's other 2 novels (Abilities Average and Potion Loli)

JNC only has Potions.
Seven Seas has Abilities Average.
