There is some CD Loader thingy...you can get them for the GameCube and PS2 as well.

All I'm saying is the UK seems to get looked over when these Japanese game get released. I mean, will we ever get to see Full Metal Alchemist on the PS2.

Why would you want the FMA games. I can understand that your a fan of the series, well myself, but the games isn't really worth buying. As for you question about playing importing games without installing a mod chip, import the system. Getting a Japanese PS2 isn't really all that hard, but you'll just be paying extra.

I don't believe that there's a working bootloader disc for PS2 (at least not one that doesn't require you to modify the system in some way as well).

Bandai is not listed for the latter three titles, but the retail appears to be $39.99, and $29.99 for the GC and GBA games, respectively.

Whoa, why so cheap? PS2 isn't on its way out yet, and Gamecube can't be doing that bad. Then again, I really shouldn't complain. Oh, and actually going to the Amazon page for the Gamecube game lists it as $39.99 as well, not $29.99 like the two GBA games.

So...anyone wanna bet that the Gamecube Naruto game is a port of the PS2 version, since Tomy made the Japanese Naruto Gamecube games separate from Bandai? (That's to my knowledge, at least.)

Perhaps I'm just extremely tired or just missed the bit of information I'm searching for in someone's post, but either way, I'm going to ask (possibly at risk of appearing foolish): Is this the first Naruto game being released in the States, or are there other Naruto games available at this point of time?

Heheh. Since no one else answered your question: Yes, Naruto: Narutimate Hero is the first Naruto game announced for the US, and will probably be the first released next year, though there seems to be a possibility of Nintendo-based Naruto games being released in the US, as well:

Hm...This is very very interesting. Perhaps Amazon got word that these games were licensed before they were publicly announced by a press release or something. If this turns out to be true, I will be very VERY happy. The dates are obviously not correct, however, and are probably just place holders since they both fall on a Friday, and games are always released either on Tuesday or Monday in the US (Nintendo releases their games on Monday). What's also interesting is the publisher for each of the Nintendo-based Naruto games is listed as D3, though I thought they were only in Japan, and they have nothing to do with Naruto over there. Also, clicking the link for "Other products by D3" yields a "Search Books" page.

It seems all three of these games were listed October 7, 2005, so we must have missed them up until now...I still really hope this is true, though.

^^ You just misread the prices a little. The text does say the GCN game is $39.99 and the GBA games are $29.99.

I really hope it is not a port, though...That would be bad...

Ah, excelent. These would likely be the first GC game, and the GBA sidescroller, with the GBA RPG in the fall. Both the first two games kinda sucked (the second+ games in each of those series were the good ones), but this should be a good jumping on point, and those prices are pretty fair.

Actually, it doesn't. Read GATSU's article and it clearly states what I quoted in my previous post, even though it's incorrect. You misread the prices, but your common sense overrode the incorrect Gamecube price.

It'd almost certainly be Gekitou Ninja Taisen 1. That's because the anime should be right about that point by then (early Chuunin exam). If we're REALLY lucky they'll skip 1 and go straight to Gekitaisen 2, which is identical except with about twice the characters, new levels, four player battling (which is the series' hallmark), and many other little tweaks. The only problem is that it would contain spoilers about episodes that probably won't air until mid-summer or so. Of course, that didn't stop them from releasing One Piece Grand Battle, so who knows?

Is there any site that has already reviewed all the Naruto games? Because I have both a PS2 and a Gamecube, and I'm curious to know the differences in the games and which ones to buy. I knew these would hit the US once Naruto was licensed. Me happy!

Necros: I meant the GC one was about $40 and the GBA ones were $30.

GameFAQs does have some fan reviews. But as far reviews from GameSpot, 1up, and other popular gaming sites, they tend to wait for the finish verison to review it.

Apprentally there was some sort of legal dispute that split the rights to the Naruto liscence among consoles-these games are from a different publisher (Tomy-Narutimate Hero is from Bandai) and are Gamecube exclusives, while Narutimate Hero is only available on Sony consoles (Xbox gets no love from either series.)

And therein lies the problem. I'm a Narutard. I'm also an Xbox fanboy. Why must the Xbox always get the short end of the stick? Crying or Very sad
If I said it once, I've said it a million times: as good as Project Gotham Racing 3 and Perfect Dark Zero are going to be, a Naruto game for the Xbox 360 would sell like hotcakes and ramen.
