This is WHY Anime is getting hated on!!! WHY -_- On the other hand, the "armor" really reminds me of the heavy armor on Castanic in TERA Online lol.

[Edit]: Posting images is fine but please keep them to a reasonable size. Errinundra.

Anime's always been hated on for dozens of reason, just accept it. No amount of wholesomeness now will ever undo La Blue Girl's and Urotsukidoji's impressions on people, and that was two decades ago.

Strikes me as they gave up a while ago. This whole use people from the eroge scene for original anime concepts (be it script or character design) and centering them around the theme of eroticism and/or ecchi has been pretty noticeable for a while.

I kind of concur that it's just not helping the anime scenes image and continues to make it harder for me to defend from it's critics by the season. It's just kind of looking more and more like the kind of low grade entertainment for fetishists that conservative critics and what not accuse it of being. Hell lately I feel like I've kind of wanted to join the critics of the anime scene if only out of a wish for some sort of change in direction albeit realizing that there's not much I can do or say that will change anything other than lament.

I'm not trying to say I think anime should aspire solely to high art or any one approach in particular or anything like that, but IMO when it comes to TV it can be so much better than this sort of thing which feels like what we're overwhelmingly getting when it comes to originals. Again Bikini Warriors is just one sort of example.

So Hobby Japan moved on from at least trying to have a context in form of a "card game" to just coming up with PLOT on legs and putting them out in form of plastic first and softcore porn animu next instead Rolling Eyes. The designs are hideous and 100% un-erotic and porn exist so how long can any of this be viable. Can´t wait for the obligatory 5 to 10 manga adaptations or the 3DS "game"...

What has any of this to do with a "fantasy" setting? I just finished Bloodborne btw. and an adaptation of that i would watch. A Dark/Low fantasy anime would be nice but nope more shonen harem or pr0n it is. Shrug.

I wonder how well this series will take off (pun intended) and how well this toy line has been.

Just to be the devil's advocate. I hear people always whine about how unrealistic combat Armour is for female characters. But its as unrealistic to see a petite 5'2" woman in full body armor. Most plate mail also had a dress of chain mail below it, and the whole outfit could weigh a 100 pounds or more.

And I suppose the counter argument would be, well its a fantasy game, they could just be from a really strong race.

My reply, bingo, its a fantasy game, they could just be from a race that has no vital organs anywhere except the breasts, arms, and legs.

Which I would not mind seeing such female body when they remove said plate armor.

Even for a fantasy setting that is going too far. In medieval Japan they did not use metal armor or shields because the humid weather would turn them to rust in no time. or maybe Rust Monsters are as common as cows on the countryside. or maybe they are really macho about protection being for wimps (the zero fighter planes did embody this mantra in WWII, so it is not so unrealistic as it seems) and hindering their movements.

It would seem that this anime will feature scantily-clad women, rife with clichéd descriptions, and they have extraordinary powers & abilities, and that causes a lot of users to make quite the colorful responses; but who knows, maybe they'll go meta and it will be a critic about ecchi shows, like Princess Robot Bubblegum. If Valkyrie Drive can be a thing, why can't Bikini Warriors? *shrugs*

I'm more perturbed that the animation character designs are more homogolized now and lack the distinctions of their originals, even though that was largely expected. They are just very basic-looking recreations now, which saps a fair amount of its appeal away. Perhaps they will look better in animation, but it doesn't look terribly promising, here…

Wait, Hisasi designed one of the characters?
...
well clearly it isn't his art style. Dang. I'd actually watch this if it was an entire anime with Hisasi's art style.

You mean for the last few decades if you include '80s and '90s OVAs?
