Episode 2:
Funny episode. So Papi is introduced and yes, I also think that she is literally a birdbrain based on her personality and actions this episode. Then, there's Cerea. I think she's more like the shy and tough type depending on who she is around with. Oh boy, Miia has some serious competition now. Also, is it just me or does Ms Smith looked quite hot this episode? |

Episode 2
THAT was amazing! The cast is slowly coming together now and the chemistry that makes the series great will start to bloom. Even though Miia happens to be my favourite, for obvious obsessive reasons and hilarious circumstances that follow them, the rest of the girls are by no means hated. Love that Papi is a completely innocent 'birdbrain' and the taught-by-manga Cerea is very 'professional' about everything. Yet, I have to agree with Stark700, that Ms Smith looked pretty darn hot on her day off. |

The animation staff surely doesn't like Papi, but that's understandable for anime to ignore small girls.

Could you perhaps elaborate on that statement? Papi looks and acts exacty the same way as the manga, so I don't understand what it has to do with the animation staff. If anything they dislike policemen on bicycles, because that guy had the worst drawn eyes I've seen in a long time! |

Thought it was about time for me to start catching up to the new shows. This show was kind of how I imagined it would be which isn't a bad thing. I like all the girls shown so far and I hope that discrimination aspect plays a bigger role later. I felt like I had seen that ice cream scene somewhere though.
I didn't notice anything of the sort. Though I wouldn't notice any minor inconsistencies. |

Papi looked fine and her scenes were censored as much as the other girls' scenes were.
Sunny's just grasping at straws to validate his anti-loli conspiracy theory. |

Before any of you ask...
I like Papi. I don't think she makes the show bad in any way. I think the show might have some more redeeming qualities that make the male abuse somewhat worth suffering through. Episode two left me pleasantly surprised. ^^ |

Censored as much as the other girls? Now that's just not true, Vaisaga, and you know it. We didn't even get to see decent butt shots, whereas that's one of her main point in the manga. Hell, Smith got to show much more than her - Smith, who hardly gets a service shot in the manga counterpart.
But aside from that, her wings are too small, her legs are much less avian looking, and her talons smaller too. She also has a cup bigger tits. Of course we can't expect an animation staff to show the same tolerancy towards a loli as the author who probably likes small girls too. There are many people involved, and the series is airing on TV, so it was more or less expected that Papi gets the short end of the stick, but damn did she get it hard. |

There were several shots of Miia and Cerea with obvious object censoring and super close ups to cut the good bits out of the frame. Everything gets censored, not just Papi.
Now if they had changed her skimpy outfit into something that covered all her skin then I'd agree with you. I recommend you watch the blu ray version of Shinmai Maou no Testament. That'll make you happy. |

You're wrong about that, Shimmai Maou certainly won't make me happy.
It's actually pretty sad how they made loli Maria into teenage Maria for the anime (and I don't mean the adult form). |

Maria is very much a loli (Basara calls her one frequently). I think your standards are too stringent.
Besides, what's important is their bright, innocent, and charming personalities. They're no less lovable even if they aren't rubbing their asses in your face (and there's always Pixiv for that). |

She looked quite comfortable to me. I note that her cell phone's entry for Kurusu is "Darling." We got some verbal confirmation this episode that Kurusu is footing the bill to feed his charges. Pretty raw deal if you ask me.
Not true but even if it were I would prefer that over those tiresomely oversized breasts, each of which looks to be at least 1/3 the weight of a normal adult human. Apparently there is a market for that sort of thing so I guess I'll just have to put up with it. |

I just want the girls I like to be appreciated in the anime too, if they are appreciated in the source. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't need to fap to Pixiv porn of them. About Maria, no matter how Basara calls her if her body is a teen body, not a loli for fanservice scenes. You can go ahead and compare to the LN's Maria. Sometimes I had trouble telling her apart from her adult form in the more risque scenes in the anime. |

So we got Papi and Cerea. I think it is Papi that I have kind of liked from what I have seen, I am not meaning that in any creepy way but she seems good natured. A bit of a raw deal that even at what I see as an adult age she is mentally impaired by human standards, but she looks like good intentions, and her confusion was funny cute. For Cerea, actually the riding thing kind of stands out when you consider what a centaur riding another would mean. 
On some other fronts, mythology nerd. Harpies pretty refer to "snatchers", flying in and taking things are pretty much their major characteristic. For lamia kind of had the myth of specifically eating children, so Miia scaring the child has relevance to original myth. Perhaps ironically, centaur were actually supposed to be quite brutish, and rape was meant to be a part of the myth. I believe, I believe myth had Heracles die from the poisoned blood of a centaur after his wondering eye. |
