Ah, yes, the magic that is the Maple-Bacon Donut. I had my first at Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR: a must-go destination for any donut aficionado, pot head, or all-night party goer. But it is, literally, bacon on a maple bar, and dead-simple to make at home or on the go.
I, however, prefer the--a donut of my own design--maple-glazed cinnamon roll with bacon--ambrosia! The key is moderation, otherwise your blood will congeal and your heart solidify, but damn are they good!

Tim Hortons brought out maple eclairs a while back. They now have a variety of maple pastries.
I don't have donuts very often but when I do I tend to get maple.
Now I feel like a donut.

So, who is this Sang Hoon Shin person? |
It be Robin's significant other, who is also a notable car/industrial design artist. CAN U TELL??

I'm suprised Robin didn't put a fake J-Lo somewhere in the backround.

Wow, the art is amazing in this strip!
I just got Redline in the mail today. I've been kind of skipping around, watching parts of it, but I'll get around to watching the whole thing soon.

Curious about Redline - will probably grab it during a Right Stuf sale or give it a watch on Netflix if it's available streaming.
Also curious about maple bacon bars, but I'm sure that would get me thrown out of Donut Bank.

Make your own! Fry some bacon up extra crispy, apply to maple bar, enjoy!
Unless you can't get maple bars. Then I'm sorry. |
Nope, no maple bars around either. Pity me.

I was going to make a joke about Nina doing donuts in the Donut Land parking lot, but then I took a Maple-Bacon-Bar to the knee.
This strip brightened my mood this morning. Great work as always, Robin!
