I hate to be a buzzkill, but I... really don't see what the big deal is about Demon Slayer. It's the bog standard shonen fantasy/battle manga that really doesn't provide anything unique to sink your teeth into from a narrative standpoint. That's not to say that other people can't find more to enjoy in the story. I just personally find it quite shallow.

This makes me imagine a shounen manga where a fledgling mangaka makes a deal with the devil to make his work popular. Wonder if there is one with such a premise? Smile ...

Since KnY is become more popular, will it have season 2 in the few years?

I partially agree. I did like the show and its characters alright and am looking forward to the movie, but for the life of me i can't really wrap my head around this explosion in popularity. There's not really anything that separates it from your average shonen manga, i'd even say all the other recent big stuff from Jump -Promised Neverland, Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen- is way more unique than KnY. When Attack on Titan got its big break, i thought it made sense since it was something different that stood out from the crowd, but with this one? Like I said, it's a cool, fun action show with likable characters but that's all there really is to it. Even the one thing that might have made it stand out -the promise of Nezuko as a co-protagonist fighting alongside Tanjiro- never quite comes to be, at least as far as the anime reaches.

Of course, popularity and fads don't really have logical reasons behind them and all art is subjective but still, it makes me curious. I guess it does have a very striking character and costume design, vibrantly colored and very memorable and in that regard it does stand out from other Shonen Jump offerings, but idk if that would be enough to explain the size of its popularity
