Bummer. I really wanted Sentai/HIDIVE to get Reign of the Seven Spellblades. I might not watch it now.

Just a FYI, ABEMA is streaming 2 episodes of Liar Liar on the same day. I am uncertain if CR will be doing the same, or it will be slightly delayed like Nagatoro was.

Same this one caught my interest, I haven’t read the source material but I have heard people describe this as anime Harry Potter.

Total opposite for me. I am devarstated anytime HiDive takes the series I want to watch as it means majority of the world including here cannot watch it legally.

Yeah, same here.

Will have to pray for it to get a home media release now, considering how much CR hates them it’s far from a given..

CR itself is not a option, sure it’s available here, but their player doesn’t work with my internet, it’s awful.

Will be a very weak hidive season, weakest since AMC got them, as it stands I’m only watching SpyRoom s2. CR getting everything I want.

I figure I should chip in and say that I feel similarly.
I've been eying this series for a bit, but was really hoping to see it on HiDive.

All told, I may still end up watching it on CR myself, but there's a lot I'm going to be keeping up with in the summer season, so priority for this series has dropped much lower for me.

More recent/casual fans may not understand it, but I feel like Sentai/HiDive is one of the most important platforms in the industry right now, and they need all the support they can get. I understand and appreciate the benefits and convenience of Crunchyroll, but it's important to realize how relying on one service too much can cause its own share of issues. They already get too many shows each season and aren't able to give every one the care they deserve. (especially on the home video front)
Remember, the anime industry is more than just streaming. I still firmly believe anime is not disposable entertainment, and individual shows should be valued more.

Thank you for explaining in a very smart way why it is important for Sentai/HIDIVE to give some competition to the behemoth that is Crunchyroll.

Well maybe just maybe if they were avaliable in the majority of the world like CR....but no, only some countries, then when they get a show we need to pirate it.
Welp.

As people above said, competition is good, but it is meaningless when the competitor does not stream in majority of countries. US guys can complain as much as they want about HiDive not getting something but guys from majority of other countries like me will never understand it. It could have been cool if more series went to multiple licensors but business model both from production and from streaming sides discourages it.

Also, HiDive already got the most hyped series this season (and the best romance series also). Equality demands for them to get less next one.
