Aniplus Asia to Air Tsurune Anime's Unaired 14th Episode

Aniplus-Asia airing slated for Sunday, 8:00 p.m. GMT +8

Aniplus-Asia announced on Thursday that it will air "episode 14" of the anime of Kotoko Ayano's Tsurune: Kazemai Kōkō Kyūdō-bu (Tsurune: Kazemai High School's Archery Club) novel on Sunday, May 12 at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8.

The anime's fifth Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume release in Japan on May 1 bundled the episode, but it debuted during two sessions of a special event for the anime in Sagamihara on March 3.

Aniplus-Asia describes the episode:

Top idol Noririn is coming to Yatonomori dojo for a photoshoot. A troubled Masa-san has zero knowledge about Noririn, but fails to gain any information after asking Minato and the boys, who are indifferent towards the idol. Nanao puts out a suggestion—to seek help from Sase, a member of Kirisaki High School's archery team who is also a huge fan of Noririn.

Minato manages to reach Sase with Shu's help, but what awaits him on the day are the faces of the regular Kirisaki team members. Minato and everyone else slowly draw away at Sase's overly-passionate talk about Noririn. Now, everyone is gathered at the Yatonomori dojo…

The anime premiered in Japan on the NHK-General channel last October. Aniplus-Asia aired a simulcast of the anime.

Takuya Yamamura (Violet Evergarden episodes 7 and 12 director, Sound! Euphonium episodes 3 and 10 director) directed the anime as his series directorial debut, while Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Children of the Whales, Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san) was in charge of series scripts. Miku Kadowaki (Beyond the Boundary, Amagi Brilliant Park, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) designed the characters. Harumi Fuuki (Miss Hokusai, The Piano Forest) composed the music. Lantis was credited for music production. Luck Life performed the opening theme song "Naru," and ChouCho performed the ending theme song Orange-iro" (The Color Orange).
