Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
This class is way too eccentric! Based on the Gintama spin-off light novel “Class 3Z Ginpachi-sensei”, this Gintama Multiverse anime, “GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class”, takes the chaos to school. Welcome to Gintama High School, Class 3-Z. Here, idol fanatics, stalkers, mayo addicts, and other outrageous students, straight out of Gintama—run wild under their dead-eyed, disheveled homeroom teacher, Ginpachi Sakata. Whether you're a normie or a loner, Gintama-style youth is right here!
Natsumi Higashida is directing the anime at BN Pictures. Makoto Moriwaki (Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun) is the general director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) and Mitei Mark II are in charge of series composition. Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) is the chief animation director. Audio Highs (Gintama, Bakuman.) is composing for the music.
