Burnout Syndromes's Greatest Hits Album with All Anime Theme Songs 'The WORLD is Mine' is Released
TOKYO, JAPAN – 29 MARCH, 2023 – BURNOUT SYNDROMES' highly anticipated greatest hits album, “The WORLD is Mine,” is out as of today! The album features all of the trio's most popular anime songs along with remixed and rearranged versions of their original tracks. Fans can enjoy familiar songs and fresh takes on their catalog starting today, on CD or through all major streaming services.
The limited first edition of the CD also includes a Blu-ray disc with full footage of the band's first world tour, Good Morning [New] WORLD TOUR, held at Veats Shibuya in December of last year, as well as a collection of off-shots from the tour.
Anime fans can expect to hear all of BURNOUT SYNDROMES' beloved anime tie-up songs on The WORLD is Mine. Those include numbers featured in series such as Haikyu!!, Dr. Stone, Gintama, and Those Snow White Notes, providing an overview of the group's musical contributions to the anime industry.
The best-of collection also features remixed and rearranged versions of their past and indie-era songs, showcasing the band's evolution from the past to the present, while also offering a peek into their future. Featured tracks include “Mt. Wakakusa Starmine,” which incorporates traditional Japanese instruments and the sound of fireworks, and “I Don't Wanna Die in the Paradise” in collaboration with Japanese rock band FLOW, plus the titular “The WORLD is Mine,” a specially rearranged version of a highlight from their indie-era. As a bonus, the album includes an English version of “FLY HIGH!!,” with lyrics written by Konnie Aoki, known for his work on YOASOBI's “Into The Night,” offering a different ambience compared to the original Japanese version.
The album's mastering was expertly handled by audio mastering veteran Stuart Hawkes, known for his work with top-notch artists such as Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, and Charlie XCX. With his extensive experience and knowledge in the field, Hawkes has polished the album to perfection, ensuring that the tracks sound their absolute best.
The album artwork for The WORLD is Mine was masterfully crafted by the talented illustrator Hajime Asahi. The stunning visuals feature a young boy who has journeyed across the “WORLD” and landed in a universe where BURNOUT SYNDROMES' music tracks are on display. The artwork's clever use of light and dark colors creates a captivating contrast that draws the audience into the picture, making it feel as if they too have been transported into the band's musical world. Furthermore, to fans' excitement, BURNOUT SYNDROMES' new artist photo was also unveiled, taken in Los Angeles by renowned photographer Zach Bell. Under the city's natural light, Bell masterfully captures the band's aspirations and bright future as they venture out into the wider world.
To mark the long-awaited release of their latest album, BURNOUT SYNDROMES has unveiled the music video for FLY HIGH!! - English Ver. -, the English version of their debut song. Originally featured as the opening theme of the popular anime series Haikyū!! with the Japanese version, this is the band's first-ever English song, showcasing their versatility and passion for music beyond language barriers.

BURNOUT SYNDROMES is kicking off their “Good Morning [New] WORLD TOUR 2023” at Kawaii Kon 2023 in Hawaii, USA this weekend on 31 March. They will also perform at Anime Friends in July, one of the biggest anime events in Latin America. In August and December, they will hold larger shows in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively, compared to last year's tour. Official advance ticket sales for the domestic shows are now open.

BURNOUT SYNDROMES is a rock band formed in Osaka, Japan in 2005 with guitarist & vocalist Kazuumi Kumagai, bassist & chorus Taiyu Ishikawa, and drummer & chorus Takuya Hirose.
