According to the show's twitter, Noitamina will air episode 11 and 12 of Saekano this Friday.
Making this, I believe, the 1st Noitamina show to have a 13eps/cour run. |

Can you clarify on that? Do you mean that both episodes are airing (presumably back-to-back) on Friday, or that Episode 11 is airing on Thursday as normal and 12 in a bonus slot on Friday?

Going by the show's official site, it seems as though while there will in fact be two episodes, they will air on Thursday as the show normally does, not Friday. |

Back-to-back, MAL posted it in their weekly News Briefs (source) Saenai Hiroin no Sodatekata is a noitaminA title, and the other noitaminA show, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso ended last week, so their other airing slot in their 1-hour block is open this week. |

It said:
26th of March (Thu) 25:04 So I was just converting that into 01:04, 27th of March (Fri). But yeah, late night Thursday as usual. Sorry for the confusion. |

A quickie about #12:
The song is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann's OP, Sorairo Days. |

Some people at the Crunchyroll comments "went crazy" when they heard that song. |

I certainly didn't expect that an actual anisong cover would be played (let alone a non-A-1 Pictures one). I wonder if that same record label company was part of the Production Committee (Pro-Com) of both shows. I checked around a bit, and the only company that is in both shows' Pro-Coms is Aniplex. |

Then what a best way to end a show with lots of cameos with a cover of a beloved anime. |

I'll say a little bit more once the review is up, so I can compare my thoughts with Theron's. But overall, I really liked episodes 11 and 12, and really liked this show.
I think S2 is the most logical step. The show is selling really well (v1 hit 10.000 units sold), and I believe they adapted 4 out of 8 novels, which means they have enough material to go. At the same time, they do need a good stopping point, and hey, maybe the novels are reaching a conclussion and they are just waiting for that. But yeah. I see S2 coming. Maybe not soon, but it will. |

I'm really surprised how much I liked Saekano. Honestly thought the episode 0 was the worst but, in retrospective, it was a necessary evil to attract more male viewers. Kato and Utaha were my favorite characters but, if it the show gets a season 2, I might warm up to Eriri since the end with her and Kato becoming friends was rather adorable.
And yes, hearing a cover of Sorairo Days was awesome. |

I don't see a season 2 coming ever. It makes sense continue the story on anime form, but the disc sales, although good (6,592), are not great. But you can pray that I am wrong. |

Series with sales numbers in that range routinely get follow-up seasons. High Shool DxD and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya are two franchises which have upcoming third series based on similar numbers.

Yes, series that average above 7,000 get sequels. But 6,592 is only for volume 1, and when all volumes of Saekano are out, it might average below 5,000. Last edited by Angel M Cazares on Fri Mar 27, 2015 11:11 am; edited 1 time in total |

The actual numbers are 8,369, plus 1,500 on DVD. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1363024 We'll have to see if there's a significant drop, though. Did the first volume have any special extras like event tickets? I really hope there's a second season. |
