I so want to buy this when I have the money. I didn't think it was a problem that the professor is mean to Nano, actually I'm pretty sure it's intentional (at least in the anime). She's a little kid who doesn't understand when she makes others uncomfortable, and Nano can't get too angry since she's kind of like the professor's caretaker or big sister. IMO it makes the professor a more nuanced character.

No way! It's finally out on shelves!?
Now all we need is an English dub of the anime, but that hardly seems likely. But still! I gotta hit up my Barnes & Noble ASAP! |

While I'm still salty about the anime not being released this should be an ok compromise (for now anyway)

I'm looking forward to reading this.
By the way, I'm not usually big on AMVs, but this one with video from the Nichijou anime is one of my favorites (although I think female voices for two characters at the very beginning and end would have been better). Honestly I wouldn't mind if the show was dubbed just as long as it got a physical release in the states. That being said I didn't even know that the manga was even getting an english release. I will definitely get it when it comes out. |

I never got around to reading the manga (I may soon now that it's on paper) but I take it from this review that the story structure is already a little bit different than in the anime in that Nano's already in school at the beginning, rather than being at home with the Professor and Sakamoto?

Glad to see this getting a US release! I haven't read the manga (though this reminds me, I really should), but the anime version was one of the only anime comedies I've ever rated A+. Loved the heck out of it.

Yes - Yuuko's really the focus here, and Nano only gets two chapters to herself. |

Thanks for the link, Spastic Minnow. I had just assumed the male voices were from the AMV maker, if male, or friends of the AMV maker; it never occurred to me that the male voices could have come from a show.

The inclusion of dialog from Futurama is what makes the video even funnier! |

In Episode 7 with Princess Starla, Dolph says that she has a vulgar mouth despite her cute appearance, but no harsh words come out in the English dubbed version. Does anyone know what Starla was really saying to him in Japanese? Thanks!

There is no (official) English dub. In the second volume of Vertical's release, she calls him "asshole" in her one line before the comment, so it's really a translation issue.
