I want to ask why but I already know why, so it's more directed to why to that why.
That making any sense? I read WEH a long time ago and it's pretty bad... not because of what it tries to do but because it does it half-assed. If you're gonna push the idea of sexy or erotic content this far just go all the way and be hentai. Show it all. If it wants to tell an interesting story that examines a hypothetical situation if all the men in the world but a handful survive then put some real thought into it. My issue with this series is that it doesn't commit to either aspect and just sorta exists as a generic erotic, ahem ecchi series. Yet somehow there's enough fans to support it. Are people really so satisfied by such shallow content? I could write paragraphs of why WEH is a bad story but doing that unprompted seems excessive so I'll keep things short. For anyone interested in a series with a similar premise but with a lot more thought put into it check out Y: The Last Man. Its visuals aren't nearly as horny as WEH but a lot of thought has been put into how society world collapse and adapt if every man(but the main character and his monkey) on earth died at the same time. I wasn't on board with its ending but the journey was worth it. |

You're saying this without sarcasm? I can think of a few ways that one could be called "amazing" but probably not the ways that you're talking about. |

I was wondering about that too, I mean I know people’s tastes differ but “Parallel Paradise” and “amazing” should not be in the same sentence under any circumstances. Given Okamoto Lynn’s terrible track record and I have read the said manga myself for the first few volumes, I wouldn’t call it amazing by any means. |

Had a strong feeling this would eventually get adapted. Not a fan of it, didn't retain me for long given how dragged out the story became. At certain points the main plot takes a backseat for quite a while to focus on endless amounts of femdom content or "develop" characters and then leave them hanging for chapters on end. Art is still good nonetheless, I'm curious to see how it'll turn out in anime format

No, Okamoto Lynn, the original author of most fourteen year olds' most amazing anime ever going full-fledged comedy porn is amazing. If you're not entertained by how ridiculous that thing is, all I can think is that you're probably not as tired of manga/anime as I am. |

Or better yet, read this book called "Houston, Houston, Do You Read?" which is a sci-fi post apocalyptic short story which is very similar to WEH & I do believe the manga author had inspired from that book: http://academic.depauw.edu/aevans_web/HONR101-02/WebPages/Fall2009/Janelle/pages%20Thixton/new%20houston.html And also did anyone remember this OVA series called ICE? anime#7528 Well that one is much more tragic than WEH because spoiler[all of the male population had been wiped out in the year 2012 by an unknown virus and there's no male survivors after the pandemic event.] Last edited by ericarreza on Wed May 13, 2020 1:26 am; edited 1 time in total |

Well there's a plot twist on this manga especially on how the remaining female population on this planet gonna survive after the MK pandemic: spoiler[And the only way to survive them and to populate more females while still finding the cure for the MK virus is human cloning just like what Erisa did to cloned herself to create her cloned sister, Mira Suou which is became the agent of her childhood lover, Reito.] Last edited by ericarreza on Wed May 13, 2020 12:57 am; edited 1 time in total |

World's End Harem was pretty bad from what I read. I loved Brynhildr (manga only) and Elfen Lied but I haven't read Parallel Paradise...it sounds awful |

I'd rather not remember that it exists. Of the 600 or so titles that I have bothered to rate on my My ANN list, it's third from the bottom. (And the two below it are hentai titles.) |

I imagine it was the... petite girls (to put it lightly) in Interspecies Reviewers that got it flagged. Funimation doesn't really have any issue with softcore/heavy fanservice. This is the company that had no qualms with Testament of Sister New Devil or Mnemosyne after all.
