I had no idea. Even a signature guitar? I'd like to see that. |

Yogurt: "Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made. Spaceballs-the T-shirt, Spaceballs-the Coloring Book, Spaceballs-the Lunch box, Spaceballs-the Breakfast Cereal, Spaceballs-the Flame Thrower." [turns it on] Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink: "Ooooh!" Yogurt: [reacts to dinks] "The kids love this one." [a dink hands him a doll that looks likes Yogurt] Yogurt: "And last but not least, Spaceballs the doll, me." [pulls string] Doll: "May the schwartz be with you!" Yogurt: [kisses the doll] "Adorable." Think of K-on as the moeblob version of Star Wars. |

369 bucks for a K-ON Les Paul? This is a freaking steal! |

WOW, they will market anything, if you goto the bottom, you will see a link to sawa-chans guitar from when she was younger and in K-on, having the main cast's instruments is one thing, but sawa-chans, is pushing it http://ishop.tbs.co.jp/tbs/org/anime/k_on/inst/-/ps_id/1484966/s_cd/0001/c_cd/23597 |

Well, it can't get any worse than Mio's Fender Precision. http://ishop.tbs.co.jp/tbs/org/anime/k_on/inst/-/ps_id/450801/s_cd/0001/c_cd/23597 |

I half-wonder if some of this is based on bets at the company: "I bet we can get them to buy K-on rice!" "Oh yeah? I bet we can get them to buy a crappy version of an obsolete music player!"
Personally, I 'm not interested. We have a tendency to not get rid of these things, especially if they aren't broken. End result- my home has mp3 players, CD players, casette players, record players, and an 8-track player. It's fun, but more novelty than anything else- only the newest generation or two really sees a lot of use. |

I just noticed this line. Are there cassette players that DON'T do this? |

Wait...no reel-to-reel tape machines? No Edison wax cylinder players? That's it, young lady--consider your audio archivist's permit hereby rescinded! And seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if KyoAni's next merch move is distributing a K-ON! album on 8-track or reel-to-reel. We know that otaku will buy anything...and the additional stuff to actually be able to _enjoy_ the "anything" they initially bought in the 1st place! So Congratulations, Japan...you've finally created a franchise that will outlive EVA solely by outselling and outshilling stuff... (Unrelated Side Note: my _300th_ post? This Is Madness!...okay i'll shut up now...) |

Whoa calm down, its just for novelty and collection purposes. No one is making you buy this. Also cassettes and the players aren't mass produce anymore so you can't cheaply make them anymore. |

Mine auto-stopped but didn't auto reverse. I had to switch the tape around myself. But for the hell of it, I might buy it. Just because I wonder why no one came up with the idea to be able to record on CD's like the walkman did. |
