Lelouch: I'm not even supposed to be here today!
Wouldn't their roles be reversed? Seeing as Lelouch is more an asshole than Suzaku's more the whiny bitch who never owns up to himself?

For some reason, Lelouch as a store clerk just sounds hilarious (probably because he'd be so out of place, and if continues to act like he normally does but as a store clerk, then that has real comedy potential). I haven't generally paid any attention to the spinoff stuff, but something like this could be quite funny.
Of course, it could be a total dud depending on what the mangaka actually does, but it sounds like it'd be worth at least giving it a chance.

Well, I've seen Blame! re-imagined as a high school drama (as a joke, of course). Gainax has redone Eva as a number of things including a supernatural high school drama. So why not.
That's where the money in manga and anime is. MOICHENDIZING!

Lelouch to CC: Hey! Try not to [eat any more pizza] on the way through the parking lot!
Okay, now I need Death Note re-imagined as Mallrats.

on one hand, this sounds hilarious.
on the other hand, I sigh and shake my head, because there doesn't seem to be an end to the milking of some franchises :p

Oh my!
I realize this is a spoof, but Lelouch's nametag is interesting.

This is the most hilarious thing I've ever heard of. I like to see more hilarious spoof reimagining of anime series, I love this type of comedy. I would like to see more of these sort of funny reimgaining:
Strike Witches reimagined in Modern Warfare setting (that include from Battlefield and COD: Modern Warfare).

I am almost immediately reminded of the Shinji Ikari Raising Project and related.
Not for me.

A ton of people had initials that where the same letter, it was a theme.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
In Code Geass, only Lelouch Lamperouge had the initials LL, nobody else.
The only other characters who where referred to via initials were CC and VV.
I found the name tag interesting because when that image was originally made (for the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: R2 Sound Episode 4 cover) I think Sunrise was having some fun with the fans.
Now we see this fun-looking manga comming out that might be based on the Sound Ep 4.
I hope it is because that sound episode was hilarious.
Here's another image used for the cover of that sound ep.
Lelouch running a Fast Food restaurant would be great!
"I Lelouch Lamperouge Command you to SUPER SIZE!!!"
That would be too much fun.

From the sound of things, this is going to be the sort of spin-off where you'll get the most out of it if you're actually familiar with the characters to begin with and can laugh at seeing them in unorthodox situations. Otherwise, you tend to miss half the jokes. At least that's how the theory goes, whether you apply it to Code Geass or anything else in particular.
Of course, at heart this is still just another cash-grab and not necessarily the best way to go at it. |
Of course it's a cash-grab, but as long as it is a funny cash-grab, who cares?
Also, many of you seem to be thinking too small on the geass commands. Come on, you can only use it once, so why waste it on a single super-sizing or adding fries with that? Make them join the loyalty club at least.

Obviously this is Zero's ploy to cripple the economy by monopolizing the convenience store industry.
