Why go for just a pillow when you can have one of these instead?

Hilarious ad campaign aside I think this would actually feel pretty comfortable, considering they already make these in standard pillow size.
But the ad campaign is hilarious indeed. |

I want one of these and the price isn't bad at all. It was also nice to have it compatible with normal dakimakura covers instead of just having one single character cover available with it.

Well, that's one way to get a hot date.
On their site (of course I looked) those USB heated slippers would have helped at the office a couple of weeks ago, when the heat went out all day. I might give those a try (knowing they probably don't work all that well, if at all). |

An electric jolt sure, nothing life threatening though, unless you have a pacemaker or something. My worry would be how well this actually works. I doubt it works particularly well. Heating elements generally need a lot of power to work effectively and a usb just doesn't provide that. I imagine it only actually works in normal temperature conditions. When the temperature actually drops, it will work like crud. That is a lot of air to heat for a very crummy element. |

USB is only 5 volts, so you would have to be sweating noticeably for even the current from bare wires to conduct. Even then, the standard spec for USB ports guarantees only 500ma of current. A 9V battery could give you a bigger shock. Frankly, if you were afraid of electric shock from something like this, electric water heaters must terrify you. ![]() |
