But I think the one gentleman misspoke when he said that they have over 150 titles in their catalog. I took it as they publish over 150 different series which they currently do not but I think he meant to say was over 150 individual volumes across many series.

Jason was referring to Seven Seas releasing over 150 books in 2016, and over 200 in 2017.

One that I've asked them in the past if they are so into Yuri titles why haven't they still not acquired Aoi Hana a title not on their black list of publishers and is only 8 volumes long. Apparently Digital Manga has the rights to it now but can't find a print version or a link to the online reader service?

Digital Manga has the rights to Sweet Blue Flowers.

I have to say, I am very fascinated that the Japanese were surprised that some yuri manga titles did better here in the U.S. Did they really not expect U.S. manga fans wanting to read stories about two girls in a legitimate romantic relationship? I wonder if even Milk Morinaga was surprised Girl Friends did well in the U.S since it fell under the radar in the Japan according to her..

The lack of yuri titles to choose from in Japan (to be fair, you guys chose really good ones) is a concern especially compared BL, and I hope the kind of yuri the Japanese wants and what the West wants doesn't diverge too much. Though if Seven Seas want a steady supply of yuri, may I suggest 2 names: Akiko Morishima (like Yuri Kuma Arashi or Hanjuku Joshi) and Jin Takemiya (like Fragments of Love)! Surprised

Just posting again I was wrong on the number of their titles since I initially went by their official website which doesn't include all their older titles but if you look at their Wikipedia page that's well over 150 like he said.

Great episode this week and happy to see Seven Seas making their first appearance. It was very informative and I hope they continue their success.

Regarding digital manga, no publisher has announced plans for this, but it'd be great if buying a physical copy also gave you the digital copy. Either with a digital code or a linked account to kindle or comixology when buying from RightStuf or Amazon. Even if it was a small extra charge, being able to get a physical copy for home and a digital copy for travel would be nice. Can't really travel with my physical manga backlog afterall.

Nice that this came up just as Right Stuf is having their Seven Seas sales. I plan to preorder a few things this weekend, including Galko-chan. Ah, and I'll second the person at the end who requested Hanayamata. I'd be thrilled if that was licensed.

I'm glad they mentioned Galko as I either missed or forgot that they picked it up. I'll definitely be ordering it with RS's current sale along with some other titles. Though apparently not Haganai Club Minutes since that's apparently no longer in print =/
