No surprise there.
After all the damage control they have to made after the 3 season disaster so they don't lost the anime. They even had to make a retconnet. After all that work it would be a surprise they don't make a new season. If they return to the right path, it will be a great anime. |

Well not that I'm surprised, you everyone wanted their borderline H to come back with Season 4 (myself too!)

I believe they actually now have enough material from the light novels from TWO new seasons of High School DxD. It'll be very interesting to see how they depict spoiler[Gabriel--if they get to that!] in the new season.

Kinda hope this is a 24 episode series, so they can animate the EX novels that retcon the ending of BorN (even though Ex has massive spoilers, they can work around it hopefully).

TNK Needs to give Aito Ohashi more then just OP key frame work, its why the 3rd season had poorer animation quality overall.

I was always hoping that DxD would be that one harem anime that would get multiple seasons, but a 4th season always seemed impossible to me for some reason. This was my thoughts when season 2 was announced.
After BorN I really thought they screwed things up so I'm actually pretty hype it's getting a 4th season. Just stick to the novels and you're good. |

It's funny how people treat DxD as an "Harem anime" when it's more of a battle shounen than anything... guess the anime needed to jack the ecchi up to get some viewership

Yes thats one of things that fans really liked about the DxD anime especially cos they didn't rush through it giving it time to build properly. Sure they left out a few details but its not that bad |
