Sounds like Sentai has the best taste these days.

Too bad for the streams though, TAN is pisspoor quality, probably the worst of any anime stream service.

Sigh. I hope they dub this, I HATE European-themed series not getting a dub...

...Like Allison & Lilia, one of my favorite series in recent memory. ~.~

Short show, not too many voice roles. Could be an easy dub, but I'd rather see it dubbed in French.

Dropped. I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD because Anime Network has the crappiest streaming site ever.

THREE simulcasts, huh?

One can only assume the second one will be Ryo-Kyu-Bu. I wonder what the third one is...

As for the topic at hand, an interesting license from Sentai. Hope it works out for them.

A quick question, I thought they had done some commercial simulcasts (versus subscription simulcasts) in the past, dose it say anywhere that you need a subscription to watch this one? In that case, boo, I've got a CR sub right now so I'd rather wait for the DVDs to come out and rent them then, Sentai's catalog of subscription only video just doesn't have enough shows/language option I want to get a sub for them as well right now.

So French and Japanese would be the apropos languages for the theme of this anime then, right?

It seems obvious that all you have seen is the 360p stuff they dish out for free stuff, and not the 720p available to premium subscribers for many titles (including simulcasts).

The bitrate they provide for 720p streams is actually higher than that Crunchryroll uses (an average 2.2570 Mbps for TAN, vs. 1.556 Mbps for CR, for the episodes I tested).

Not necessarily. Maid-Sama didn't get dubbed, even though it was a delay cast. Daimao was originally planned sub-only, but was only dubbed due to the numbers it pulled during the simulcast. Maria-holic Alive will likely be sub only, as the original season was.

Also TAN hasn't announced whether you will need a subscription for this one or not. However, if you really want the show dubbed, the best thing to do is to watch the stream. The higher the numbers it pulls, the more likely they are to dub it.

Finally, I have to agree with TheAncientOne. The HD streams on TAN do look better to me than CR's, though CR hasn't picked up anything I've been interested in a long time so I haven't visited the site recently.

Excellent work and I recently bought into TAN for Angel Beats and Embarassed so I could finish To love-ru. Have to say TAN's player and layout really needs some work but stream in HD is excellent.

I half expect them to get that Big-Oppai Samurai Girls to go with last fall's Samurai Girls (which is surprisingly not bad). And if the tease of 3 similcasts is correct I can still hope for Kami-Memo as the 3rd one. But if not Ikokumerio will hopefully be a nice show to watch.

If the stream is free I am fine with lower quality streams and commercials too. I certainly hope there will be a free option.
