No problem Very Happy

Out of curiosity, I know we've all posted about it here, and in the thread before it and in the one in the retail forum, and some of us even sent messages to Amazon about it, but has anyone notified the authorities? I mean this is illegal right? And so far Amazon doesn't seem to care what we think so wouldn't the next logical step be to inform those that enforce the laws being broken here? And if no one has, I'm no legal genius, but can anyone tell me what would be the appropriate office to contact in such a case?

I am no legal genius either, but I imagine the FBI in the state of Amazons corporate headquarters. Since copyright law is handled federally in most cases.

Hah hah hah, good one, Amazon. Whoever did this obviously has a great sense of humor. I think Amazon should promote this guy/girl along with a raise.

I literally laughed out loud when I read this... I wonder how long this'll stick around marked 'bootleg' in the item name Laughing

Although, now I have a minor problem- I don't any anything from Amazon proper, but I do use the Marketplace sellers alot. Do I keep doing that, knowing they get most of the funds and aren't directly a part of Amazon, or do I stop since the main site does get a cut? Decisions...

It's about time. I submitted the name change a week ago. It was obvious normal channels weren't getting anywhere, but the 'update product info' link goes through pretty minimal human checking.

Awesome! lol

Superb job, Amazon. Your methods of curbing the sale of illegal merchandise on your site are top notch.

In fact, your methods are so flawless that they make me not want to do business with you any further. Bravo to you!

Impressively ridiculous.

Note to self: stop buying anime/manga from Amazon. When it comes to overseas things like anime/manga, everything available there seems really fishy. And now I've lost what little faith I had left in their anime/manga selection...

Agreed I use to do a lot of book buying from Amazon but now they've lost a valued customer and I intent to let everyone know not to buy from them. You think that someone would of done something by now, I mean they are getting blasted online.

I've seeded this around the net. Now trying to figure out how the hell I can con Fox News and CNN to cover this.

I laugh at the reactionary posters here who will now refuse to buy from Amazon because of this isolated incident. OH NOES BOOTLEG SAILORMOON, BYE BYE AMAZON! I'M RIGHTEOUSLY INDIGNANT!

Let's face it, most of you weren't using it in the first place. Stop trying to impress us with your faux heroism. Save your contempt for the businesses who knowingly sell unlicensed goods at inflated prices with glee, not for this one mistake. Jeez.

There are Japanese blogs reporting it (citing ANN), and I've seeded the news though other channels as well.

I mostly would have to agree with this.

Fox News? CNN?

Are you serious?

We're talking about Amazon here people. If for some reason this EVER went to court, all they'd have to say is that they're describing the item accurately and whether or not someone buys it is up to their discretion.

Amazon will probably get the legitimate version and drop the bootleg, but for the time being it's not like this is a surprise to anyone purchasing it. I'd have to agree with this vibe of faux heroism that's floating around. All of you sleep a bit better knowing that you're standing up to big bad Amazon and their Sailor Moon Bootleg listing?

Whatever. As much as people would like to ignore it, laws may be effective, but money almost always triumphs in the corporate arena. Amazon has lots of money...that's all I have to say.

There isn't any legitimate R1NA Sailor Stars to replace the bootleg with.
