Ugh. I've been there before.
"Let's just watch a few more episodes to see if it gets better."

It didn't.

I am finding the "Kuu-tan" character design to be highly unsettling. Though I suppose that's the point. Somehow the "no arms or legs" thing (and the line acknowledging as much) lends this whole arc a strongly cynical bite... not exactly out of line with previous strips, though.

Kevin, your sentimentality is wasted on something that Nina doesn't approve. And unlike Kuu-tan, a fictional blob with no arms and legs, Nina on OTOH can do this with hers on occasion. Fear her.

Ok, this is where I am struck by a paradox. If Kuu-tan is unable to cook because of the lack of arms how is it that she has survived this long? It must be the moe factor... she tricks innocent guys like Kev into catering to her every whim until they eventually become blobs themselves! However, even though I have now figured out Kuu-tan's evil ways, it's so hard to resist that strangely cute moe factor. Laughing

Kuu-tan is secretly a magical girl, who is able to transform into a girl with arms and legs. Either that or she is just like the characters in veggie tales, and is able to move things with her psychic powers. Razz

Let's go with the Veggie Tales one.

(Speaking of Veggie Tales, I found a Cucumber a while ago that looked just like Larry...)

SO MOE! Now I can see why so many lonely nerds like shows like this. Even someone with hardened black heart like was moved by the blob's immense cuteness. Maybe its actually a defense mechanism adapted from baby animals, whose cuteness defence system ensures only the cutest survive.

insideous eeeeee-vil!
To take our inborn instinct for cute stuff, and manipulate us with it.

So what will Kev-man do in the ep where Kuu is actually eating the hero's brain?...

most amusing Robin, as always...

No way Kevin, you actually like that? Love Nina's expression in the last panel, that's what I would do too.

Oh no! Poor Kuu-tan looked so unhappy! And she has food all over her!

No, I'm more disturbed by the lack of Myoopi. What would his viewpoint on this anime be? Twisted Evil
