The stip totally reminded me of an excerpt from a book explaining how Hello Kitty's design is a reflection of how perverse the otaku and Japanese idea of a "good" woman is.

No mouth: A quiet woman with little opinions or objections.
Small body: Someone small and child-like.
Small arms n' legs + No fingers n' feet: Someone whose completely helpless looking and needs a person to look after her.

Anyways, that aside...I totally know the feeling and guilt of liking moeblob characters.
