Anything Yoko Kanno of course:
All Beebop OSTs including the movie
Escaflowne
Arjuna
Wolf's Rain
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

And now some others Wink
Akira
Trigun First Donuts
Lain OST 1
Lain: Cyberia Mix (mostly Remixes but its the only OST with Duvet on it)
BCG 2040 Priss Asagiri Vocal Collection

These have only a couple of good songs IMO but are still worth a listen:
Flame of Recca
One Piece best collection (some good songs lot of remixes of the same songs tho)
Noir OST 1
Noir Blanc Dans (Mostly remixes)

Kokoro Library OST

You may not like the anime, but you may like the OST. Undeniably good.

Rurouni Kenshin 1st OAV OST

Undeniably powerful stuff.

Other Kanno stuff that people usually forget about:

Macross Plus OST 1
Brain Powered OST 1 & 2

Music!

Anyways...something that are worth listening to are:

Now and Then, Here and There (Action cues, powerful melody)
To Heart (relaxing, smooth melody)
3x3 Eyes (tension, action cues)
Blue Sub No. 6 (jazz fusion)
Jin-Roh (sometimes big, sometimes sparse, often provoking film score)
Magic Knight Rayearth OST1 (one of my personal favorites. Very natsukashiiiiiii...and the orchestral cues are pretty good too...)
Wings of Honneamise (Sakamoto being less crazy than normal...)

Darn you kitchen utensil! I wanted to be all cool and say Kokoro Library! :P

I second that.

If you’re a Gundam fan but not sure which to get try Gundam Singles History I through III.

Eh, I’m more of a downloader then I buyer so I don’t have much to add in terms of full CD's.

The frist is not anime but still good is The Final Fantasy X-2 Soundtrack. For anime soundtracks I like are:

Haibane-Renmei OST
The Blue Seed OST
Serial Experiments Lain OST 1 & 2
X/1999 (TV) OST
All The Cowboy Bebop soundtracks
Smile

Yep, I agree that the Bebop music is soooo awesome. Just about all of them are awesome. Yoko Kanno is soo good at Jazz, just as the Seatbelts are.

Gravitation. *worships* Honestly, with Asakura Daisuke doing the music, how can you go wrong? *shine*
And of course, anything Trigun or Cowboy Bebop related is good. Anime smile
