I don't think dub haters are to be blame. But from watching the news about our global economy I think I could blame the economy for this. |

Honestly, I think it's a mixture of a bad economy and the group who partakes on activities that may be questionable. There certainly is more than one group to blame though. Those directly involved and those indirectly involved in the situation. But unfortunately, until the US economy completely recovers (or comes close to recovery) it's likely that more of this type of news will occur more often. It may not be fair, but seldom anything in life really is truly fair. |

I think the economy is effecting the anime industry more in Japan currently (although I do agree with you other factor could make this worse). I was on CNN just hours ago and saw this videounder the business section. It talk about Japan may face a third "lost decade": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Decade_(Japan) There are more video explaining Japan's economic problem. If this was to be true then we may see more bad news from Japan involving anime and manga. Group TAC is one, who knows what other anime production could go budget cut, job loss, or bankrupt. |
