we wont have to worry about this series being licensed at least until the end of 2005, but when it does, something tells me it'll be expensive. considering the CCS anime was stretched to 70 episodes from a 12 volume manga (plus two movies), which was then released state side over 20 dvds....o_0 i would bet tsubasa runs just as long, considering the manga is about up to 8 and still going. course, that all depends on who licenses it, and how its released, but i'm sure i'll end up shelling out for it because it's gonna be so friggin awesome anyway...

It's a fighting manga, so you can probably expect something like... Naruto pace wise perhaps, just with the CLAMP touch.

...But, Tsubasa is an angsty, and somewhat depressing, melodramatic series. :p |
I guess it is at times, though there is also plenty of humour. I'm just not a huge Bee Train fan so I'll go in the corner.

Please go ahead and post further comments on the Tsubasa anime in the preexisting thread. Thanks!

Bee Train does good animation so I'm sure they will do a good job on Tsubasa. But um is it just me or does Bee Train only have one director lol forgot his name but his done most of Bee Train's work .hack, Noir and Madlax. Wouldn't be surprise if his the director for Tsubasa.

You're talking about Koichi Mashimo, right?
Well, the only Bee Train anime series he wasn't involved in was Medabots (and thank GOD ).

Production I.G., is doing the XXXHolic movie. Where is Madhouse during all this? Cannot wait for the movie!

Don't know, but personally I was hoping Bones would get Tsubasa. CLAMP went to Bones for Angelic Layer, and they did an amazing job on the action scenes, and well, personally I just like Bones more than Madhouse.
I wonder if Madhouse did something to displease CLAMP.

On what do you base the series not being licensed until the end of 2005? It could be licensed right now. Samurai Champloo was licensed before the first episode aired in Japan. More and more anime titles are being co-produced by American companies. Big O springs to mind.
