As much as I love Genshiken...

A- for animation? Is that some sort of joke? Gunbuster is an A-, Perfect Blue is an A-. In spite of all of Genshiken's hillarity, I found the animation to be quite subpar by today's TV anime standards. I'd give it a C+, B- at best.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought the dub was good. Cool

I thought the dub of the first DVD was great! (I'm still waiting for DVD2)

I'd easily consider it on a par, at points, with the Japanese dub.

Yes, but the "at points" thing is the problem. The dub so far has not been consistently good. There are bad spots, especially all of episode 6. (It had the same ADR director and VAs, so I'm not clear why it was so much worse than the rest. Maybe they just had an off week in the studio?) That's why I've marked the dub down both times. Consistent quality control is part of a studio's job, after all.

To the guy who whined about $30 DVDs for this series, I suggest you check out www.dvdpricesearch.com and quit bitching.

Most big legit DVD sites searched for the lowest prices.
