Ok Toonami, you're now forgiven for Dimension W. Now all we need is Jojo, and everything will be perfect.

Anyone else think Killua's voice is way too high?

Where did you hear Killua's voice? I know that a user posted a clip of Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio in an elevator where all characters spoke (and they sound pretty good) in another article, but I have yet to see a clip of Killua.

As for JoJo - WHERE THE HELL IS THE STARDUST CRUSADERS DUB!?!

Viz Media hasn't received the materials for Stardust Crusaders yet. They'll dub it once they receive those materials and will likely use the same cast as the test dub. (Although Viz doesn't know if they will use the same cast or not yet).

Killua's voice can be heard on the Toonami promo clip.

[Also FUNimation having dubbed at least part of Buu Saga is one of the worst kept secrets in the anime biz].

Oh good. Can't wait for more dubbed JoJo, and hopefully they'll bring back Matthew Mercer.

Okay, so I saw the clip. Killua does sound a bit high-pitched, especially compared to Erica's perfect Gon, but from that clip I'm pretty sure Christina can bend it to match Killua's darker traits.

As for DBZ Kai, they still haven't confirmed it. Sean Schemmel and Kyle Hebert said they were, but Funimation has yet to actually say anything. My guess is they'll announce it when Toonami finishes the uncut run in about 31 weeks.

I think Cristina will grow into the character. At the start of the series, Killua was more cheerful, so I think her voice will get lower around the Zoldyck Family Arc.

One thing I don't look forward to is the Chimera Ant Arc. It was such a chore to get through when I was binging it on Crunchyroll. Imagine having to go through it for over a year.

Never really expected HxH to air on Toonami. Just wonder what show it will replace? (Dim W or Parasyte are my guesses).

Personally, I hope they get more shows and drop Shippuuden, since it's in filler mode. And move One Piece up out of a dead slot, since its now into the Thriller Bark arc.

They're not dubbing any more Toriko because it didn't sell.

Basically the rumor is Funimation already dubbed the rest of Kai and is just sitting on it. Plus when the Kai version of the buu saga was announced a Japanese voice actress said it was made mainly for international audiences. That leads me to believe the rumor to be true. It makes sense to me for Funimation to release Kai before Super anyway. If releasing it dubbed through Toonami after the Cell Saga makes marketing sense to me. Of course that just means I have to wait longer for a physical release for Kai and for HxH for that matter Sad

They're dropping Kill la Kill, which was in a re-run anyway. HxH will go into Parasyte's timeslot, while Parasyte will get a re-run in Kill la Kill's timeslot - I believe I said that earlier...

That's neat, but with the series still on hiatus, I'm not too interested in starting it.

The anime is more accessible than the manga at this point. It concludes at a very good stopping point, so it feels satisfying as a whole, even though there is more story to tell.

Oh? Hmm, well maybe I'll check it out then if I happen to see it on.

What about the previous series? I guess there's no need to ever go back to that?...

Well, those forums don't say much, but if what you say is true, that's disappointing because Toriko is one of the most underrated long-running Shonen Jump series ever. I don't find it hard to believe, given the problems plaguing the last several episodes and that unneeded last filler episode (ending to HxH anime was so much better), but I really want this series completely dubbed, probably because of Ian Sinclair and Josh Grelle. And speaking of which... They never dubbed that crossover episode with One Piece!

I just realized that Hunter X Hunter coming to Toonami will coincide with Togashi coming back from break.

But other than that looking forward for Hunter X Hunter airing on Toonami since the show will be a monster hit In ratings. Plus, this could be a huge sign that Williams Street mighty increase their relationship with Viz Media a lot more, since the only Viz title currently airing on the block is Naruto Shippuden.

To be fair, there are only seven timeslots for Toonami, and you got shows from FUNimation, Viz, Aniplex, and now Sentai. (And there may be more in the future.) Currently, FUNimation has four, and the others have one each. (And once Parasyte ends, Viz will have two and Sentai will have none.)

Sweet! Now this show can really get popular (damn hiatus)!

Well, Togashi gets these hiatuses BECAUSE his manga is so popular. The more popular it gets, the more inclined he'll be to take breaks.

Maybe a show that lasts only about 12 episodes? This is generally good since the limited viewing of those episodes will boost ratings, and plus that means more and more shows will get popularity on widely-viewed American television (Ex: Deadman Wonderland). It just didn't work for Dimension W.

Is Dimension W not doing well in the ratings? Surely it's not doing as bad as One Piece.

I marathon'd all of this show on crunchyroll. The main character is pretty weak as a protagonist but all of his friends are pretty cool and the one re-occuring adversary is amazing. I didn't realize until after I finished the anime that the franchise is basically on indefinite hiatus because of the creator's dilly dallying so beware the showhole this anime will leave you in if that type of things gets you down. Basically the show ends at the beginning of a new arc that will probably never be continued/finished.

The series is about the protagonist growing as a person as kind of a grotesque and twisted coming-of-age story. He'd have to be weak, both in combat and narratively, at the beginning, but he does get stronger and grows wiser as the series goes on. Unfortunately, spoiler[he's pretty much been put on a bus in the Dark Continent story so far.]

It is for very late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Except for Saturday Night Live, it's pretty much a graveyard slot for the rest of the TV business.

Toonami's basically the equivalent of that hole-in-the-wall restaurant at the far corner of a plaza that's blocked from view from the street by a Jiffy Lube or a Burger King in front of it but stays in business anyway because it serves a different audience than anything else around it.

That's nothing compared to those of us who followed the manga. Due to the hiatuses, the series was at the Chimera Ant arc for eight years.

uh you know its showing on adult swim? NOT Disney Anime hyper.

just like in bleach , it will be unedited. otherwise the viewers would have a massive field day and cry out bloody murder like there's nobody's business.

the only thing that i'm not sold on is the cast. personally they should have had VA like bailey or lowenthal to voice gon since their custom to voicing younger boys and from the looks of the sub version, doing gon especially in some emotional parts of the series is probably gonna be more demanding on erica's vocal chords that voicing ryuko from kill la kill.

regardless, i'm kinda glad that viz have given this the bleach treatment and allow its english dub version to be shown on TV first instead of releasing it online. they have to be relevant on TV at some point since all of the naruto eps showing on AS as very old ones and there is apparently no plans by them to release SM and SM Crystal on AS.

While it would be good to see Laura Bailey and Yuri Lowenthal return to doing animu on a large scale like they used to back in the day (Glitter Force and a cameo in Soul Eater Not! for Laura and reprising an old role in Durarara!! for Yuri aren't enough), they're far too busy with teh vidya and teh western cartoons these days. Also, Ryuko Matoi was already a very demanding role for Erica as it was.

I'm surprised to see so many people saying they've never seen this show. Especially with it being on Netflix for a while now. Are most of you dub only people?

I think for a lot of people, Hunter X Hunter was simply not on their radar or a low priority.

The Toonami bump is still a thing.
