Whats the best site to get imported Japanese CDs (Such as Two-Mix, or Yoko Kanno)? I've been looking around and most of the sites I have found are bootlegged imports <_<

I third cdjapan. I got my Pillows CDs from them.

You could probably use www.amazon.co.jp, too.

One way is to find something you want, then go home and do a bit of research. Find out who the original recording studio was. Also anything by Son May or Ever Anime is almost guaranteed to be a bootleg.

Import CDs are expensiiive....bootlegs are not. That's usually a good clue, at least for me.

Please read this thread (a few threads below this one Rolling Eyes ):

animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5625

It'll give you a little more info on CD bootlegs.

Thanks for the links for the stores - now here's another question for you, where can I find used or out-of-print CDs that are *not* bootlegs. I've been trying to pick up some of the older Two-Mix CDs and can't seem to find non-bootlegs. I'm sure they are out there - I just can't read Japanese that good yet Very Happy

How old/what albums, exactly? Most of these are 'Best of' but yesasia does have the original BPM132 (its pretty good, I have it):

http://global.yesasia.com/en/artIdxDept.aspx/aid-19022/aname-Two-Mix/section-index/code-j/version-all/

You can find everything at Amazon Japan. 132, 143, 150, Fantastix, Cube (note that there are 5 pages - yes, all of Two-Mix!):

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/ix=music-jp&rank=%2Bsalesrank&fqp=author%01TWO-MIX&sz=10&pg=1/249-5649446-3550753

The Amazon is in Japanese, so if you have any questions just ask.

Two-Mix was my first j-pop, I have a soft spot for them. I have BPM 132, 150 and Fantastix. I also suggest checking out Minami Takayama's solo CD (the vocalist of Two-Mix and one of my favourite seiyuu Anime hyper ) Endless Communication. Its probably not findable.

edited for additional link

Thanks alot for the links!

Those are a big help for my Two-Mix collection - also my first J-Pop band. I'm also looking for CDs from the Final Fantasy series - the FFVII Reunion CD is high on the list.
