Man, those must have been really expensive to import?

I belive there is only one OVA. And as for "When did they come to R1?"
That does not matter, there are fansubs

Which may be why there is no Geneon USA. Which does not matter either, because there are fansubs. Gotta love circular pirate logic.

The OVA series that came out in early 2007 consisted of 3 volumes.

I've no doubt they are and that's half the reason I don't import (the language barrier is the other). I'll gladly buy them if they are ever released in R1 though.

Fantastic news! Strawberry Marshmallow is one of my favorite series, the only disappointment is, as someone mentioned in a previous post, is since Geneon folded there's no one to release it in thhe US. I second the idea of Media Blasters doing it though; although I liked the dub voice cast, I'd rather see it subbed-only rather than have a different cast. But great news, I know I'll be buying it, I already have a couple of the OVA import DVDs.

The Right Stuf/Nozomi apparently have two announcements coming forthwith at Anime Expo.
Considering they licensed To Heart, I don't think the Strawberry Marshmallow OVA's would be out of the range of possibility for them, since both titles are aimed at roughly the same audience.

Although I really wish I could count on being able to buy it on R1 DVD, I'm still excited about any new ICHIGO MASHIMARO products. Just this saturday I got vol.5 of the manga which I knew absolutely nothing about(I always thought there were only 4 volumes.) I just happened to see it because the cover was face-out on the shelf and I immediately recognized Barasui's distinct artwork.

Oh cool! I always got room for some more 'Strawberry Marshmallow'. Love the shows. I hope that someone brings this over. They should bring over the first OVA as well. Sad that 'Geneon', (glad I bought my box set when I did) is gone. But even if they weren't I wonder if they would have brought the OVA over.
Well, glad to know that Barasui is still getting more out of his favorite little girls with 16/18 year old chain smoker included.

Bah, I got so excited when I first read this, then I realized it was only a 2nd set of OAV's. Oh well, it's better than nothing, but I wish they would just make a second full (maybe even 26 ep) season instead.
