My main reaction to this one is loving that guy's argyle vest... and wishing I had one just like it. It's hard to find good argyle these days.

Funny you mention that... the vest was actually inspired by a real one I saw. A gay coworker of mine "Queer Eye-d" another coworker for the company holiday party, and he picked out such a vest for this guy, and he looked great! Check H&M.. :p

I just can't shake the habit of wanting to read the Nina strips "manga style." I started on the right and essentially spoiled myself, although this strip still managed to get a decent chuckle out of me in the end once I'd read it the "normal way."
Keep 'em coming!

Kimidori Story is a joke on common shojo elements, just like Ultimate Daisuke DX was a joke on shonen elements. |
I'm not sure whats worse here ...
A - Forgetting the full title is Ultimate MOP Daisuke DX
B - Claiming it's fake
C - Robin's brother trying to make a callback to it in an article last week, and calling it UMD-GX (the crappy spin-off that was canceled faster than a sitcom starring Chevy Chase.) I hope she is still giving him crap over it.

Has anyone seen Ultimate MOP Daisuke DX: The Abridged Series? Its even got the Little Kuriboh seal-of-approval. I never knew you could fit so many mop jokes into seven minutes.

I'm still waiting for it to get the Veridian Collection Boxset, so I can get it as cheap as possible, cause I'm like that.

I think Please Save My Earth does that to people. They actually put a disclaimer on the books, because fans were sending letters about how they believed they had past lives on the moon. Those fans were the original otakukin.
Ah well, atleast Nina wasn't reading something like Basara.

I've never had this reaction to shoujo anime, but I think that's because for every Princess Tutu- or D.N.Angel-type show I watch, I watch a show full of explosions or angst.
I do know that watching too much Princess Tutu will cause you to twirl around the room on your toes. Or quacking.

"I'll get my coat."
Something about this line struck me as extremely cool. Does Kevin get to play the reluctant hero in the next strip? Then again, it's probably for the best that we don't see the actual rescue operation... That might not be pretty.

"Nina's got a fever, and the only prescription is more shojo."
LMAO!! I love that reference! xD
Next thing you know, she'll be playing Shoujo Cowbell Hero >
