Otakon 2025 Hosts A-1 Pictures Staff, Voice Actor Taishi Murata, Character Designer Hidenori Matsubara, More

The staff for Otakon 2025 announced on Thursday the event will host A-1 Pictures' director Shōtarō Kitamura and production manager Yūtarō Itō (pictured at right), who worked on the production of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!.

The event will also host the creative team behind the Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels: novelist Takibi Amamori, artist Imigimuru, and deputy editor-in-chief Kentaro Iwaasa.

Otakon also announced this week it will host voice actor Taishi Murata (Baby Steps, Made in Abyss), character designer and animation director Hidenori Matsubara (Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, In This Corner of the World), author and composer Taketeru Sunamori (composer for Grimms Notes, author of Legend of Mana novel), and J-pop singer MindaRyn (Arifureta - From Commonplace to World's Strongest (TV 2), By the Grace of the Gods)

Otakon 2025 is scheduled for August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event will also host voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, and Kanna Nakamura; manga artists Chika Mizube, Minoji Kurata, and Sai Naekawa; manga editor Takumi Kamemaru; and illustrator CHRIS.

Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.
