Man do the Z-moves look absolutely ridiculous especially the stupid poses the trainer does for the moves. With mega evolutions the trainer never had to do a ridiculous pose in order to do it so what made them think they were needed for Z-moves. Add on the Ultra Beasts which feels like they raided the Bandai studio to steal Digimon designs and didn't even have the decency to change them at all. Pokemon have almost always had a pokemon flair to them where you definitely tell they were from pokemon. The Ultra Beasts, minus the jellyfish one, look nothing like Pokemon they look like Digimon especially the mosquito on steroids and the embodiment of the sin of gluttony they just premiered who looks like he should be one of the Seven Great Demon Lords in Digimon.

I think in both counts, they are intentional, or at least had more thought put into them than you might realize: The trainers' dances for the Z-Moves correspond to hula dance moves representing their respective elements, and the Ultra Beasts are not supposed to look like Pokémon because they're not. They're supposed to look like something that migrated in from some other series because they are beings from another realm.

Only less than three days until Sun and Moon's debut! Very Happy I can't wait to catch and train all the new Pokémon within Alola, as well as some Alolan Form Pokémon. On top of that, the Z-Moves visual effects are an epic sight to behold.
