Wait, wasn't that the Shin Getter? Maybe they plan to adapt some of the Shin Getter Robo manga too, to better explain the events of Ark.

On an unrelated note, where's the new version of Dragon? Come on, we are getting new versions of the OPs of Armageddon, Shin vs. Neo, but not of New?

Awesome! Now if someone could release Classic Getter Robo and Getter Robo G on Blu Ray in Region 1! Armageddon is the Best of the sequels, but I did not like seeing The Dr go mad, and his eldest daughter die. I saw the US version of Getter Robo G as Force Five Starvengers by Jim Terry. Discotek did release Gaiking, also in Force Five, but I only saw the compilation movies, not even all 25 episodes of each show in Force Five.

They definetly have to use parts of Go and Shin and maybe even some of the earlier stuff too. Even if its only 13 episodes, Arc's only two Volumes long which'd be burned through quick.

I mean, I was already expecting them to go beyond the source material, since Ark has no ending and this anime is a chance to rectify that, but I thought that would be done by showing what happens after the manga, rather than before.

I just want to see if they can outdo Gurren Lagann in over the topness with the fabled Getter Emperor. The CGI doesn't give me much hope there.

I know he's a brand new actor so it may be unclear how to romanize his name, but Kamui's actor is listed in English on the Getter Robo Arc website as: Arimaro Mukaino, not "Arihiro". This is also reflected on his agency profile. It would be worth a correction.

CG on the mecha disappoints me considering how the series once looked in the past. Songis good tho, but we know Jam Project don't disappoint.

Zeino, Guerren laagen? Not for me. GoDannar is my Fave Modern Super Robot Series barely edging the film Mazinger Z Infinity. Enjoy GL.

Emperor's really not over the top in the same sense as GL. Empreror itself largely relies on everything coming before it and how it's not a machine but a spoiler[planet devouring cosmic horror.]
