As an American in constant anxiety while we live through the collapse of the American “middle class” Dream, I look forward to connecting with the experiences of the characters in this manga. I’m appreciative to D&Q for publishing perspectives that we rarely get English manga. While I’ve enjoyed most of the Gekiga manga they’ve published, I’m excited for this left turn to explore other styles of manga from other time periods. I’ve purchased a copy of most of their manga and this will be no exception.

Very cool! I rarely read about American comics publishing companies releasing older manga, particularly more obscure titles, so it's nice to see Drawn & Quarterly giving this such exposure. Talk To My Back seems like it could be educational as well as entertaining, so I'll definitely keep an eye out for it.
