I think they are doing it backwards, it should be "Look, because we tripled our content we had to raise prices", as it is, nothing stops them from not fulfilling said promise to simply increase profits. |

One thing I've liked about Amazon Video until now, is that unlike Netflix who over produce shows and Films, they don't make a whole lot of stuff. Which is good as the main point IMO of these services is be able to watch Films and TV shows both old and now. So this doesn't sound good, it's hard on Netflix to find anything good as it's burred underneath vapid tiles no one remembers.

O know what you mean. My friend and I experienced that very thing last Saturday whilst trying to find something suitable to watch (we ended up watching Gantz 0). Its good to have choices but sometimes a refined collection of content is better. Amazon does have a decent selection on the whole. |

I dropped Prime a while ago.
I wasn't finding much included in Prime Video --- most of what I go there looking for ends up with rental fees, so Prime Video wasn't doing much for me. Since I don't find it hard to just leave things in my shopping cart for a while until I've accumulated enough to get free shipping anyway, Prime had already seemed like a needless expense. |

I've never had enough interest in Amazon Prime to bother subscribing and not enough LOTR and Wheel of Time are enough to get me interested and raising the already absurdly high price isn't helping to convince me either.

They're buying MGM for 8.5 billion so that's where a lot of there new content is going to be coming from. |

They could but that would potentially delay new productions by a year. A new Stargate show is really the only property that we know is going to be a top priority once the deal is through but I'm sure they have ideas for others. |

I think I'd chalk that one up to the shipbuilding company. They are the ones building something too big to get to sea from their yards. They are the ones who offered to pay for the rebuilding. I wonder why they can't wait and put the masts up after the ship clears the bridge. |

The monthly increase for prime is barely noticable compared to the yearly package. I've had a prime account for years their content is worth the price of admission.

It’s an inevitable part of inflation but that doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it.
Between Vox Machina and Invincible it seems they’re slowing dipping their toes back into animation. Without extra cost this time. |
