I'm guessing the Tensen are gender neutral? First, they were women, then turned into men.

What is it with Junichi Suwabe changing genders this season? Although not many characters can say they've been voiced by him and Yuko Kaida.
What about his partner though? She (they?) had lines. Are they waiting until the characters uses their male form?
Mei sounded so cute. No wonder she's voiced by Konomi Kohara!

Well...yeah, kinda.But not in the same sense we tend to use it. The Tensen are masters of Tao and they can change between Yin and Yang, or female and male, respectively. The reason these two, Tao Fa and Ju Fa, swap between genders more than the other Tensen, is that they were assigned to master the Taoist training known as "bochu jutsu" aka "intimate congress" aka "bumpin' uglies"..
This was already shown in the episode shortly, so not really on the spoiler territory. If you keep watching the series, they should delve deeper into the taoist stuff eventually, but not much of it on this season. I *really* recommend the manga. The anime is a good ad for it, but it'll take Mappa rest of this decade to animate it so you'll be better off gobbling up the manga and decide if you wanna see the anime version after that..
