Woah, that sounds pretty cool. On paper. I don't think it's going to work in real life.

This might work in the far future, also at least something good is coming out of Cool Japan because all I hear about it is corruption and missed opportunities (since it's not ran by cultural experts but mostly shareholders).

The idea of virtual superhuman sports may look awesome on paper, but it seems very difficult to make it become a reality, if not impossible.

I would love to see them do with a Naruto battle. Specifically, the Pein or Kaguya battles. Then, I would like to see the dub or sub voices with the respective characters.

Do the players, it might be awesome (as it should), but most likely the audience will see the "full reality" via TV screens, which will negate the need to come to the stadium. Unless they have something else planned...

"We're going to built a computer-controlled Golden Snitch for the Harry Potter games!"
(Y'know, over on the UCLA campus Quidditch games, they just hire one player to run around in a yellow t-shirt, and players try to tackle him.)

Good to know they're still working on that invisibility cloak. I hadn't heard about it in several years, ever since Popular Science briefly mentioned it in 2006.
