Smokin' Parade? Hmm...
Not sure how I feel about that. I read Deadman Wonderland awhile ago so I'm curious to see if there will be similar themes used in this upcoming series. |

I dare say it'll be a long time before this gets officially translated, but I'll definitely wait and check it out, as Deadman Wonderland is one of my favourite series (Eureka Seven is good too).

Publishers these days seem to be riding this guy so I'm just going to assume that Kodansha USA will license this after a few chapters/tankobons have been released.

It kinda makes me think it's Deadman Wonderland, but with smoke powers instead of blood powers. Probably not, though. Regardless, it seems interesting; I really liked Deadman Wonderland, so hopefully this is good, too.

Potential for smoke-based powers is intriguing so I'll keep an eye out just for that.
By the way, I believe Kataoka also contributed the artwork for the 4-volume manga series Livingstone, in collaboration with writer Tomohiro Maekawa. |

They're gonna have to change it to Vapin' Parade or else it'll loo like they're promoting cancer. Then again it's anime.

Vaping is also under legal scrutiny right now, with its health effects being tested. Around my town, vaping already has the same restrictions as normal smoking of tobacco.
It definitely seems really weird to have a series where smoking cigarettes gives you superpowers though. It just doesn't seem right. At all. |
