So in order to watch both seasons of the Free dub, you have to subscribe to both Crunchyroll AND FUNimation.

It doesn't bother me too badly as I'm not that big a fan of the show, but if I were, I'd be kinda pissed. Confused

Fantastic news! I'm so happy! I haven't seen either season yet but as a dub fan I pre-ordered the fancy S2 funimation CE in the hopes that S1 will one day get dubbed as well guess I no longer need to worry Anime smile

Though the question remains will Discotek be the ones to release it on home video? Will it get a bluray release?

As someone who doesn't watch anime until I've bought the set hopefully it doesn't take too long to release and that it'll be on bluray too!

Literally just saw this advert on crunchyroll so I wasn`t sure if Funimation`s cast returned for this, but now that I know they have, it gives me a reason to check it out. Neat.

I am going to assume that this means that Funimation is releasing season 1 on BD soon. Good for its fans.

There's absolutely no proof of that. For all we know Crunchyroll simply could've commissioned them to do the dub and will once again be using Discotek for the home release.

I think most fans are just happy they're getting a consistent dub, or even a dub at all for the first season. That was up in the air for awhile.

I'm happy with mushy gushy drama if I get more ikemen with muscles similar to Free, dubbed or subbed either way. Gou's humor and obsession with muscles was exactly what I loved about the show when it came to female characters. I hope we get to see more of these kinds of anime. I'm so tired of skinny bishounen with no muscles.

Certainly an interesting surprise. I wonder if CR subcontracted it through Funi or bypassed them entirely and went through Okatron 5000 (Chris Sabat's personal studio) instead. Listened to the first couple of eps and weirdly despite the fact that Tatum is apparently scripting it like with Eternal Summer it sounds (thankfully) absolutely nothing like that dub script wise and it's instead surprisingly by the book. Maybe CR was strict with the translation?

Please do the same shit with Detective Conan, Dragon Ball, and whatnot. please give back the rest of the Fairy Tail episodes as well.

Hell, just share everything. It would be a perfect joint project and further expand partnership.

With the huge backlash FUNi caused with their script I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

Finally! Smile Now I'll be able to start this show.

...although, I'm curious about who made the English version of Season 1. Did Crunchyroll produce it themselves or did they commission another studio to do that?

Very happy things worked out and we can have a dub for both seasons, and have the same cast to boot!

I'm trying to post the cast on the ANN page, but it keeps saying to fix the error, but I don't know how. Someone help.
