Yotsuba&! Creator Draws Eva's Asuka, Rei for WonderFest 2015

This year's summer Wonder Festival at Makuhari Messe promises to bring boatloads of anime figures and goods to peruse on July 26. Kantai Collection has been popular the last few years while Sega has promoted characters from its games and properties.
This year will also mark the 20th anniversary of Hideaki Anno's Neon Genesis Evangelion television series. The iconic mecha anime is getting a new Blu-ray boxset and Yotsuba&! creator Kiyohiko Azuma is marking the occasion with Evangelion artwork for the Wonder Festival 2015 [Summer] Official Guidebook. The art features WonderFest's official mascots Wanda-chan and Reset-chan as Rei and Asuka.
The Evangelion series will have its own booth at WonderFest featuring a diorama, history, and figures from the series. A limited edition Asuka figure by BOME, UFO catcher dolls, and other goods will be for sale.
Azuma also drew the cover for the 2015 Winter WonderFest with Wanda and Reset dressed in demon-inspired dresses.
