Ronia the Robber's Daughter Wins Asian Television Award

The Ronia the Robber's Daughter television anime series won in the "Best 2D Animated Programme" category of the Asian Television Awards last Thursday. Other television anime nominated in the category include Psycho-Pass 2, Nobunaga Concerto, and Terror in Resonance.
The Ronia the Robber's Daughter (Sanzoku no Musume Ronia) anime adapts Swedish author Astrid Lindgren's children's book, and it revolves around Ronia, the only daughter of Mattis, the chief of a tribe of bandits who live in a large castle in a forest. Ronia studies the ways of the mysterious creatures who live in the forest.
The 26-episode series premiered in Japan in October 2014.
The annual Asian Television Awards is organized by Singaporean magazine Television Asia Plus, which recognizes "excellence in programming, production and performance." The awards announced the winners at its Awards Gala on December 2 and 3 at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore.
