Naruto Voice Actor Hikaru Miyata Passes Away

Actor Hikaru Miyata passed away at a Tokyo hospital at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday due to an acute aortic dissection. He was 87. A funeral service will be held on September 30 with his wife Fumiko as chief mourner.
Fellow voice actor Taketora recalled on Twitter that Miyata was always smiling. Both voice actors played roles in Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.
Miyata played numerous roles in television shows, such as Dokuganryū Masamune, and films. As an anime voice actor, he had roles in Naruto as Homura Mitokado, Heat Guy J as Shogun, and Noein - to your other self as the Wanderer of Time, among others.
