Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 Anime's Main Trailer Previews Opening Song by ClariS

The staff for the fourth anime season of Reiji Miyajima's Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) manga revealed the new season's main trailer video on Monday. The video previews the opening "Umitsuki" by ClariS, the female singing duo that became a trio this year.

The fourth season will stream in advance on July 1 on the DMM TV and d Anime Store streaming services in Japan at 10:00 p.m. JST. It will then debut on television on July 4 at 26:23 (effectively, July 5 at 2:23 a.m.) in the "Animeism" programming block on the MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS channels. The fourth season will run for two cours (quarters of a year) with a break in between. Crunchyroll will again stream the series as it airs.

The anime's returning cast members include:

• Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara
• Aoi Yūki as Mami Nanami
• Nao Tōyama as Ruka Sarashina
• Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa
• Yū Serizawa as Mini Yaemori

The staff at TMS Entertainment is returning from the third season. However, Kazuomi Koga, the director of the first two seasons, is replacing the third season's director Shin'ya Une in the fourth season.

The band Regal Lily performs the ending theme song "Boku no Vega" (My Vega).

The new season will cover the Hawaiians arc.

The anime's third season premiered in July 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the season worldwide except in Asia.

Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month. "Ugh... Damn it. I never want to go through that again." Completely spiteful, Kazuya uses a certain method to date a girl. He goes to their meeting place and suddenly hears,"You're Kazuya-kun, right?" A reckless rom-com filled with love and excitement is about to begin!

Miyajima launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. Kodansha USA Publishing is publishing the manga in English.

The manga also inspired a live-action series that premiered in July 2022.
