J-Pop & Harajuku fashion icons Amiaya to appear at Moshi Moshi Nippon in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA. (July 9th, 2015) - Say Hello to the Latest in Japanese Pop Culture! Moshi Moshi Festival 2015 in Los Angeles is coming to Magic Box at the Reef LA on August 1st - 2nd. Inspired by the popular TV program and website, Moshi Moshi Nippon is created for fans of Japanese fashion, anime, cosplay, art and design. Two days of Harajuku-inspired shopping, activities, panels, music and more!Moshi Moshi Nippon proudly announces AMIAYA as special guests! The twin models Ami and Aya, who arrived in Harajuku at the age of 15, have made waves with their avant-garde style, cutting-edge electronic dance music, and leading fashion label jouetie. AMIAYA will deejay the Saturday night “Harajuku Fashion Party” at Magic Box, in addition to other appearances during the festival. There will also be a jouetie pop-up shop.
Originally from Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, AMIAYA first gained notoriety modeling in magazines like Zipper, Nylon and CUTiE. Their 2010 style book “AYA AMI BOOK” was a best seller, solidifying their role as fashion trendsetters. As J-Pop artists, AMIAYA has released a series of singles and the full-length album Tokyo Pop.
The first Moshi Moshi Nippon festival in Los Angeles will feature LIVE DAM Karaoke, fashion brands Pure, Aymmy in the batty girls, jouetie and others, with booths on site to showcase Japan's booming fashion and J-pop culture. The MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON booth will be offering products from MOSHI MOSHI BOX in Harajuku, including MOSHI MOSHI original products as well a selection of the most popular goods, including the popular, quirky “sushi socks”. AMIAYA, and special guests Ayumi Seto, YuRi and Hiko Achiha will all take to the mini stage for a special fashion show, with Hiyoko Nishimura manning the decks for a solid DJ showcase, in addition to other live entertainment.
