[ALEXANDROS] to Sing Theme Song and Featured Song for “BLEACH” Live-action Film
Theme song “Mosquito Bite” revealed with latest trailer
[ALEXANDROS], which announced release of single “KABUTO” on May 23rd, album in the fall, and a headlining ZOZO Marine Stadium show on Aug 16th, revealed that the band will sing the theme song and featured song for “BLEACH” live-action film, opening July 20th in Japan.
“BLEACH” originally started out as comic on “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2001 and comic book sold over 120 million copies in print worldwide. The film is a live-action adaptation of the best-selling comic, which stars Sota Fukushi and is directed by Shinsuke Satō, who has directed numerous hit films including “GANTZ”. It is the most anticipated films in this summer and it was unveiled that [ALEXANDROS] will sing theme song “Mosquito Bite” and featured song “MILK”.
When the band watched the footage, before traveling to the US for songwriting, they thought of a demo track that perfectly matches a scene. The band's front man Yoohei Kawakami pulled out his cell phone and listened to the demo with the director, which led to feature “MILK” in the film. Up until the film's completion, they had exchanged countless ideas and that is how the film and music came together strongly.
First trailer, which was revealed in February, featured instrumental version of “MILK” without any credit and the fans were buzzing whether the music was by [ALEXANDROS].
[ALEXANDROS]'s Yoohei Kawakami (Vo.&Gt.) commented, “We watched the preview and all of us just wanted to pay for it. We're honored to be part of this film. The first impression of the film and this “I'm not giving in” mentality perfectly matched. I already had the title “Mosquito Bite” in my mind, but it also means that “it's only like a mosquito bite when you are trying to hurt me”. When we tried songwriting in NY as a challenge, it also became our theme song to keep our heads high. It shows how much we grew as a band and I feel like this will open another door for us.”
New trailer with theme song “Mosquito Bite” is available on official website and theaters nationwide in Japan.
“Mosquito Bite” will be released in the early summer.

I was like “BLEACH×[ALEXANDROS] sounds cool!”. I knew a great song will come out even before they started.
The song has great impact and I felt this power coming. It also links with the film and matches with the action
scenes. Lyrics show the struggling feelings of transitioning from child to adult and I just love it instantly!
Director Shinsuke Satō:I feel like the first riff changed the whole film. When I was working on the film, I found myself humming and it naturally became the theme for “BLEACH”. It was my first time to watch unfinished film with the artists and discussed about the music. That was great and I feel that having perfectly matched music to the film is like a miracle.
