Just when you thought road rage was limited to the West...good lord.
Be well, Tsubaki-san. Blade was awesome, you're awesome. |

@AmuroNT1 : I think this sort of thing happened rarely happened in Japan because they valued public transportation but over at my nation, shit like this happened so often. I post links to news like this that happened around here if I could but I'm on a phone and my internet isn't doing too well.
EDIT : Hell, I'll posted one anyway. Not to mention I lived in the state where this happened before but I wasn't around during that year. It caused quite a fuss back then. http://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2014/07/16/road-rage-in-kuantan/ As for this guy in the article, hope he manage to get better. Receiving a blow to the face with a golf club is not pretty. |

It doesn't mention if he was concentrating too much on a smartphone to notice on coming traffic. It has happened elsewhere where someone has stepped in front of a car, or bus whilst texting and/or searching online. Regardless it still doesn't warrant getting smashed in the face at all let alone with a golf club of all things. Anger management.

Knowing that many, if not most, in Japan use transportation to traverse, road rage incidents seem pretty uncommon, but that doesn't make it any less terrifying.

Ouch! And road rage is very frequent in Chile, especially in Santiago, when everything must be done quick... Everything. Back to the theme, I hope he gets better, its very rare in Japan to see this tbh.

Just when you thought road rage was limited to the people actually involved in the incident. Sounds like the younger brother must have some serious anger issues to just show up and start swinging. Emerje |

Road rage can happen anywhere where people travel on roads, especially in cities, where there's a lot of traffic congestion, hot shot drivers, and people in a hurry. It sets off a chain of mood-ruining. Road rage is never a good excuse to hit someone with a golf club though, even if the other side is in the wrong. Well, unless the other person is attempting to harm you and you're using it as self defense, which I don't think this was.
The article sounds like the younger brother was traveling as a passenger. Still, I'd usually expect road rage to come from the motorists and not the passengers. |

Geez, was the guy yakuza or something? Who just comes in swinging like that over there...(then again I don't know of any yakuza country club members )
I hope he didn't lose any teeth and that this doesn't affect his ability to work too much. |

If this happened in the USA, that attack could earn the attacker an assault with a deadly weapon charge. If I was there and saw it, I would try to restrain the assailant then call the cops.

Isn't he an actor? Being hit in the face with a golf club...how on earth is he going to work again? Well, there's plastic surgery, I suppose, but the success of that depends on how bad the initial injury was.
This kind of thing happening to anyone at all is terrible, regardless of whether they were at fault or not, but when it happens to someone who depends on their face/looks to earn money, that's adding insult on top of injury |

Good lord, poor Takayuki. That's horrible. D:
Road rage isn't strictly a problem limited to the west. It's not like Japan is immune to everything because of their "everyone should be polite and respectful" mentality. They have rude and hotheaded individuals of their own, just like any part of the world. |

Also, that maintaining of a police face means anger gets bottled up with time, and it only gets more destructive if someone can't take it anymore. When a violent rampage happens in Japan, it gets pretty brutal. |
